Megan and Alex’s fall engagement session took place at Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate in Lexington, Kentucky. We were so excited when they told us they would be bringing their sweet dog Pepper along to join in on the fun. Pepper is a rescue that they adopted together. You can tell that she is super happy that Alex and Megan are her parents. We had a blast playing in the leaves and taking in all of the beautiful fall colors.
Megan and Alex’s story began in high school when they met sophomore year at a football game. Megan went to the game with her cousin who just so happened to be dating Alex’s best friend. From the moment see met Alex she had a crush on him and they have been together ever since. The proposal happened at Triangle Park in downtown, Lexington Kentucky. Alex asked Megan to meet him and their dog Pepper for lunch. To her surprise as soon as she arrived Alex immediately got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She was not expecting it at all and was totally surprised. After she said yes Alex told her to look behind her where see saw her friend holding a camera. Her friend was able to capture that special moment for them. Megan and Alex are so sweet and caring and we were so excited to photograph their wedding next year in their hometown of Bardstown, Kentucky. We are really looking forward to sharing their wedding day story with you all.
