Hello and welcome to Simply Love Studio!

My name is Brittany Wells, I am the new studio assistant. I’m so excited to spend my summer spreading wedding advice, tips and tricks with you! A little tidbit about me: I am a Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles major at the University of Kentucky. I am a wedding bliss fanatic; loving every detail of the wedding process! I worked for a few years as a Bridal Consultant and I’m enjoying my journey into the wedding vendor world. Aside from weddings, I enjoy reading (especially Beverly Lewis!), decorating my new home, and outlet shopping.  I live life knowing there’s never a bad time for a tall Vanilla Blonde in a grande cup from Starbucks or a good laugh with a friend!

I’m a recent bride myself.. I married my high school sweetheart, Logan, in Louisville, Kentucky on May 30th. My wedding day was nothing short of a dream! We hosted our wedding at Walnut Street Baptist Church which will be celebrating it’s 200th birthday this month. The weather was so wonderful and all of our friends and family filled our special day with so much joy! It’s hard to pick a favorite part of your own wedding, but I think my favorite would be a sweet moment Logan and I had together before the ceremony. We opted for the traditional route, not seeing each other before the wedding, but bending tradition a little we spent a quick giggle and few words together from opposite sides of a large church door. Only seeing each others’ hands but hearing his sweet voice was reassuring and helped calm my nerves! It was so exciting to see those grand doors open as my groom stood waiting for me at the other end! We danced the night away at our reception and may have ruined a napkin or two trying to get all the cake out of my nose! All in all it was the fairytale day I dreamed of since I was a little girl, including a sparkler exit and a horse-drawn carriage as our grand get-away!

Our honeymoon landed us on a little island in the Caribbean called Antigua. It’s a precious little country, only 108 square miles, roughly the size of Lexington inside New Circle Road! The local’s loved to tell you about their 365 beaches and how they have “one for every day of the year.” We opted for an all inclusive resort and Sandal’s Grande Antigua came highly recommended. It did not disappoint! We spent our week tanning, napping and dining by the beach at sunset each night. Logan especially loved the big open pools. Our honeymoon was so relaxing and romantic, Logan Wells (my cute touch-me-not husband) even held my hand on the way to EVERY dinner! It was the best week!

If my post is not convincing enough: HOP ON A PLANE AND GO TO ANTIGUA!!

It’s been a whirlwind of the past few weeks and I’m excited to settle down in our new home and get started with real life again! I’m so thankful to have you here and will be posting pretty often with all the things I’ve learned as a bride/part-time wedding planner/new wife!

Lots of love,

Brittany
