The last two weeks have been absolutely incredible. Just when I thought there couldn’t be more fun in a barrel of monkeys, Sarah and the vendors blow me away, as usual. Here is a recap of the things I learned and the amazing ideas the vendors with the Bridal Benchmark Series!
Week two included some of the best information on rentals, photography, venue, beauty prep, and food.
When your wedding day rolls around, the things on your mind include the dress, making sure you look like a princess, and, of course, your groom. The last thing you are thinking about is who is going to return my linens, chairs, tables, etc. that I rented. While this might not be the idea that is at the top of your to do list, especially the day of, making sure you have someone to take of this is so important. This can prevent you from having unforeseen late fees, increasing the risk of the rentals getting lost or even destroyed (like wet linens being left in a bag for days). It is also important to check and see if these things are included in your venue contract, if you are allowed to bring outside rental vendors, or if rentals are included with your venue. Similarly to week one, the importance of getting a contract and knowing what is in it can save you a lot of hassle and headache later on!
After your wedding day, the only tangible things you will have for yourself are your photographs. That is why it is so important to find a photographer that not only fits your budget, but also fits your personality. Don’t just go with a photographer because they are the cheapest you can find or because you have a groupon for them. Most photographers will call their cost an investment, because that is exactly what you are doing. You are investing in that person to capture your wedding so you can live it for more than just that one day. In order to make the most of your pictures, it is also crucial that you prepare yourself to be wedding day and photo ready. Having a regular skin care treatment plan can make you have that wedding day glow for weeks instead of a single day.
Let’s talk about City BBQ for a minute. They provided the food for week two and shared great information about catering. Frankly, the most important thing I can remember about them was the banana pudding. Their food was so good, Sarah and I had to take a trip to City BBQ again the next day. There really are few words I can say that will accurately describe how I feel about them. You just have to go. Trust me.
Special thanks to City BBQ, Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa, Purdon Rental, On A Whim Photography, and Beautiful You Med Spa for being at week two!
