Wedding Registry for Photography!
Posted by Sarah on May 3, 2012 in Studio Blog | 0 commentsWhen Vidy with Five By Five Photography & Design told me that she had a registry for Brides I got a little excited because it is totally genius! Photography, followed by video will be the two most important things you have left once the wedding is over.
The wedding photography gift registry is perfect for:
*couples who want to make the purchase of a photography collection more affordable
*couples who want to add an album or canvas print to their collection
*couples who already have everything for the home
Here is a bit more info in a FAQ style format, but this is definitely something to keep in mind!
Q: What is the cost of setting up a registry?
A: It is currently in the introductory stage and will be free if added to the package this year [2012]
Q: Will I need to pay the 50% retainer fee if I am setting up a registry?
A: Yes you will still need to pay the retainer fee and sign the contract to reserve your wedding date.
Q: How does a guest make a contribution to the wedding collection?
A: All purchases are made through Paypal via credit or debit card. The guest will receive an email confirmation once the payment goes through
Q: I’d love to be able to send my guests a thank you card after the wedding. How will I know who gifted what?
A: Five by Five will email each guest an electronic gift certificate for them to print and give you on your wedding day. It will include the amount purchased so you can send them a thank you card.
Q: How long will the registry remain open?
A: The final payment for the wedding photography collection is due 30 days prior to the wedding date. The registry will close at that 30 day mark and the couple will be responsible for paying the remaining balance.
Q: I would only like the registry to include an album or canvas. Is that ok?
A: Yup that’s totally ok! The registry is totally customizable to fit your needs.
Q: I would like the registry to include the Petite Collection AND an album. How would that work?
A: The couple will be required to pay in full for the wedding collection 30 days prior to the wedding. So they will need to cover the remaining balance which was not covered by the guests through the registry. We can specify if the guest is contributing towards an album or wedding collection in the registry. Anything gifted towards the album [or canvas] can be applied as credit after the wedding when we begin the album design process.
Q: I would love to add the album to the registry but can’t afford to fully purchase it right after the wedding.
A: No problem. I can hold on the the contributions made towards the album through the registry and then you can come back and purchase the album once you’re ready. The one year anniversary gift is the gift of paper. What would be more perfect than a wedding album?
Q: Can I cancel the registry and withdraw the money as cash?
A: Yes you can certainly cancel at any time. However, all purchases are final and can not be refunded.
