Hello again! I’ve been told that I need to write about a website I introduced to Sarah- one that I’m in love with! The site is called Pinterest; it’s basically a site where you can create free inspiration boards. It doesn’t sound like much, I know, but trust me the possibilities are endless. I have spent hours putting together boards of my favorite things.
I originally started using Pinterest to organize my wedding inspiration pictures, and then I became addicted. Pinterest is full of amazing, creative wedding ideas, from “Do it Yourself” to beautiful Etsy products and so much more.
Ok, so it works like this. You request an invite to start an account, which can easily be linked to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. When you connect your Pinterest account to your Facebook or Twitter account, it automatically links you to your friends who are using Pinterest.
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards for all kinds of things – from planning their weddings, and decorating their homes, to organizing their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. Pinterest will even automatically suggest new pins to you biased on what you have already posted.
Last but not least you can continue to fuel the addiction by downloading their handy “Pin it” button. This allows you to pin pictures you love while surfing the web. You just click the “Pin it” button, click the picture you would like to pin, then select the board you want to pin it to, and it does all the rest- even cites your sources with a handy link to the original webpage above your picture.
Pinterest’s says this about their mission: “Our goal is to connect everyone in the world through the ‘things’ they find interesting. We think that a favorite book, toy, or recipe can reveal a common link between two people. With millions of new pins added every week, Pinterest is connecting people all over the world based on shared tastes and interests.”
This site is a haven for creatively minded people who love to share their inspirations with others. Beware though, it can become addicting to look at beautiful pictures and artistic “How To” projects. You’ll soon find yourself with a list of new art projects you want to try and make for yourself.

If you are an avid reader of our blog then you realized that this past week it looks rather sparse. It is definitely wedding season and we are slammed! We love it! In addition, both Mallory and Kyle as well as Rayna and Andrew were married in May! Needless to say that we are trying to spend some of our limited free time with our darling husbands.
Andrew and I decided to whisk away to the romantic and lush mountains of North Carolina. We found ourselves in Asheville and every visit to Asheville requires a visit to America’s largest home, the fabulous and amazing Biltmore. With the royal wedding recently I know we are going to see a push for weddings to become more of a formal affair and I could not be more excited! The Biltmore is the ideal location for your wedding ceremony and celebration. Could you just imagine your guests arriving to this venue being personally greeted with Champagne!! There is a winery on property that makes it just like in France. Oh la la!

Are you interested in having your wedding at Biltmore Estate? I would love to talk to you! They do have catering minimums, but I have found they are very competitive to most hotels and ballrooms.
Do you need inspiration? Check out these drool worthy Biltmore weddings!

What is going to be big for ceremony and reception venues in 2011? We have the answer!
For the warmer months of the year (unlike the frigid month of January!) outdoor and natural settings will be very popular. Simply Love Studio has plenty of preferred venues that would be perfect for an outdoor wedding!
1. The Carrick House: Their new additions this year will be beautiful and an inclusion in the renovations is a rooftop garden! Therefore, for a natural setting you can book the front lawn or the rooftop garden and have the wedding of your dreams!
2. Acres of Land Winery: At this venue you have two beautiful options for an outdoor wedding. There is Colonel Ridge’s Point and Maggie Adams Overlook. Both of these sites are picturesque of the rolling hills of Kentucky.
3. Headley-Whitney Museum: With their lush gardens and intimate patios, nothing would beat the beauty of a ceremony and reception at this lovely venue.
4. Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa: Offering five different locations, there is a space for any type of wedding you desire. For an natural setting we suggest one of the outdoor pavilions that overlook their beautiful landscaped grounds.
Simply Love Studio can help you decide on a beautiful venue and get you on your way to having the wedding of your dreams. Call and schedule your free meeting with us today! 859.317.9023
