Let me just say that I….Loved….This….Wedding! Not to say that I don’t love all the weddings we work, but Danielle and Josh’s wedding had a little extra kick. I can’t even go into all the amazing details that they put into this wedding.  The ceremony and reception both took place at Keeneland. There is nothing more exciting for a photographer, than tons of beautiful and unique details at a wedding. Danielle loves everything vintage and with a seemingly European flare. This was apparent in everything from her wedding dress, to the bridesmaid hats, to the driftwood, to the centerpieces. It was all so beautiful! Thanks to Leann of Wedding Bliss, and her staff, did a fantastic job of making all the beautiful details come together.  And to top it off, the bride and groom and the entire wedding party had the most amazing attitudes. As a photographer, we love it when people will do crazy and fun stuff for us, even if that means there might be a little dirt and grime in the process. The entire wedding party raced down the track at Keeneland all for this photographer’s enjoyment. Thank you all for such a fantastic experience, and congratulations, Josh & Danielle! Your love for one another was obvious in every moment of the day.
D&Jss_0001 How great are these hats?! D&Jss_0003 Love love love. Stunning. That's all I can say. Mom and Daughter moment. The groom and one of his buddies, Lucy. D&Jss_0008 D&Jss_0009 D&Jss_0010 Love this. Instead of a guestbook, they had their guests sign this piece of driftwood that had their initials carved into it. I love a good party.  Between family life and work, my opportunities to be out-and-about after 6PM are pretty scarce.  Getting to be at the Grand Opening of Simply Love Studio was a hoot.  If you haven’t checked out their site yet, you might head over HERE to see what the buzz is all about.  Simply Love Studio is THE place to visit for all things wedding related.

The night of the Grand Opening, I brought my gear and provided a ”Pink Carpet” photo-op for those in attendance.  I got to meet alot of new folks and catch up with other wedding vendors.  It was a GREAT night.

Here’s what I contributed to the Swag Bags given out by SLS to the first 100 people.  I’m always meeting folks for coffee, so it seemed fitting that I send home some java-themed goodness.  Many thanks to my incredible assistant Candi who packaged all 100 of these.

This was the scene at the corner of Broadway and Main Street in the heart of Lexington. Location, location, location, eh?  And by the way?  So many people are outside because it was shoulder to shoulder inside.  Crazy how many people came out.  That certainly bodes well for the success of this company.  Rayna, you rock!

The highlight of the evening for me was finally meeting up with Angela Anderson and the talented AAP crew (yo, Lucy!).  We’ve both done a lot of work in the Kentucky market, but had yet to connect.  Angela, you’re an amazing photographer and an inspiring business owner.  I’m glad you’re involved with Simply Love, and I’ll look forward to staying in touch!

A shot of my brother Jay being awesome.   You can check out his website HERE.  He’s an excellent dj, and he’s one of the preferred vendors at Simply Love.  I love that he’s working in the wedding industry, too.

And a few more shots from inside.  Sorry there aren’t more!  I was having too much fun socializing!  LOL

The after-party…Who knew?
