First Wedding of the Season!!!

Posted by: Always Planned

Always Planned completed our first wedding of the season this past weekend and I must say it was absolutely fabulous. Everything was perfect from the gorgeous bride, the radiant mother of the bride, stunning decor by Perfect Posy, smoothly ran pictures by Bella Grace Studios, on-top-of-it service from the Lexington Country Club and amazing musical performance from the Mighty Kicks. Below is the link to catch a sneak peak of the pictures. More to come on this wonderful couple and wedding once we get all the pictures in the next few weeks:-)

Here at Simply Love, we have recently stumbled upon one of the coolest wedding etiquette resources! Lets be honest, wedding etiquette is often a touchy issue! On top of that, it seems that very few people are truly knowledgeable in this field. This book gives you all of the information you need to plan wonderfully elegant and classy wedding parties ranging from engagement parties, to bridal showers, to receptions! This book comes from the fabulous Emily Post who is America’s etiquette icon. It is actually written by Anna Post, the great-great granddaughter of Emily Post. Over the next few weeks, Simply Love will be featuring some of our favorite ideas and suggestions from the book. In the meantime, check it out yourself at emilypost.com/wedding-parties

What’s new in the world of bridal veils?

Posted by: Always Planned

Weddings today are all about bringing out the couples unique style.  So who says you have to wear a traditional veil? There are so many amazing alternatives that can speak directly to a couples personality.

Of course there is the bird cage veil, which is so perfectly southern.  Whether real or handmade, a large flower (or even feathers!) would look fabulous in any hairstyle.

Turning Nana’s favorite broach into a hair clip or head band can add a sentimental touch.

Speaking of headbands they can to faboulous on your bridesmaids and flower girls.  You could even do a simple ribbon! A very inexpensive option that adds some flair!  And who said it has to be white?

Hair accessories can add a splash of color or bling to your big day! You could spend days searching on etsy.com for amazing homemade and vintage head pieces.

Our Grand Opening event was last Thursday and we could not be more thrilled with the support we received from the Lexington community.  We estimate there was over 200 people in attendance throughout the night.  If you were unable to make it out then you definitely missed one heck of a party!  Check out these wonderful pictures by the very talented Shaun Ring Photography.

All of our photographers were out in full force at our amazing Grand Opening Event.  The very talented Shaun Ring did our pink carpet photo shoot as well as party pics and detail shots!  The ice sculpture provided by Season’s Catering, the stunningly gorgeous dresses in the window from Twirl Boutique and  all of the tables, linens, glassware and bar supplied by Lundy’s Special Events.

Our oh so yummy catering – Dupree Catering and Events did all of the passed appetizers, while DaRae and Friends Catering did the buffet – each one really hit this event out of the ballpark! Tinkers Cake Shop was all the rage with their fabulously pink cake in… the window and the delicious cake pops and cupcakes!

We partied all night with music provided by Platinum Band and Evan Morris with Bluegrass Beat supplied us with all of our uplighting, Gobo and the DJ!  Oh my – the details!!! Always Planned did the event design, calla lily display and, the sugar tree – our fabulous flowers provided by Curtis A Grace, Jeanie Gorrell and Lauren Chitwood.  The super fun photobooth supplied by M & K Premier Photobooth!

Our Grand Opening event was AMAZING! We cannot thank our vendors enough!
