Rachel & Dave's beautiful wedding at The Huber Winery was probably the most international wedding we have ever done with all of he guests from Europe. One of the biggest highlights was the German tradition of log sawing. Traditionally, before a wedding the town folk would go out and chose a log, with the bigger the log indicating the more they liked you. The couple would then have to saw the log in half during the ceremony. Check out their wedding reception and you decide how well they were liked.

When a bride tells us that she was referred by the wonderful ladies at the Couture Closet, we already know we are going to love the couple… they just have such fabulous brides! Cassie and Ian certainly fit that profile of being absolutely amazing :) Despite the fact that we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, we truly enjoyed spending an evening with them for their engagement session… just wandering around Smoketown, chatting and laughing the whole time, and of course capturing some gorgeous photos of the couple! You never see shoe clips anymore… but I think that they should make a comeback!! I was browsing through Feather Your Nest here in Lexington where they have lots of antique jewelry and ran across some shoe clips. They are a cheap way to dress up an old pair of shoes and you can get them to match every outfit. Shoe clips can also be a great bridal accessory; use them as your something blue or to bring in the colors or theme of your wedding to your shoes! After researching a little more into the Lilly Pulitzer line as it relates to weddings I found out that Lilly is now offering bridal gowns! They launched the bridal line in July and I’m so excited for you all to check out the awesome gowns that they have! Let me just say that I….Loved….This….Wedding! Not to say that I don’t love all the weddings we work, but Danielle and Josh’s wedding had a little extra kick. I can’t even go into all the amazing details that they put into this wedding.  The ceremony and reception both took place at Keeneland. There is nothing more exciting for a photographer, than tons of beautiful and unique details at a wedding. Danielle loves everything vintage and with a seemingly European flare.
