Meghan and Chris we had so much fun spending the afternoon with you all in downtown Lexington, KY. You all took us to the cutest little wine, dessert, and cheese shop in town. It may become one of our new favorite date night spots. I still can’t get over how we had a gorgeous 70-degree day in the middle of February with the sun beaming. Meghan you looked so beautiful in your long navy dress and Chris you looked so dapper in your Navy jacket. We had so much fun strolling around downtown in the Gratz Park Neighborhood and getting to know you both before your wedding this fall. It was so special to see where you all had your first date and to hear the story of how Chris proposed.

Meghan and Chris met in Chicago in December of 2011. Both of them went to visit friends and it just so happened to be the same group of people. While they were watching the UK/Louisville game word spread quickly that Chris was asking about Meghan. Meghan said, “I’d like to think my giant UK jersey just took his breath away. Ha!” Meghan didn’t think much about it and figured that her friends were just trying to play matchmaker. On New Year’s Eve all their friends went to a New Years Eve big fancy hotel party. The whole night Meghan, Chris, and their friends went in so many different directions, but at the stroke of Midnight, they found themselves right next to each other. That moment turned into their first kiss and the rest is history. Their first date was at Nick Ryans in Lexington, Kentucky. It was a perfect first date on a gorgeous spring day. Nick Ryan’s has become such a special place to Meghan and Chris that they have spent many anniversaries and birthdays there.

In October of 2016 Meghan and Chris went on vacation together to the Dominican Republic. They had so much fun snorkeling, eating delicious food and laying by the pool. Meghan was a little disappointed and anxious that on the last day they had not gotten engaged yet. She was hoping that Chris would have proposed on their vacation. Meghan decided to shake it off and enjoy their last evening together. As they walked down to the restaurant Chris told her that he had something really special planned for her, but Meghan didn’t think much about it and just thought Chris was trying to cheer her up. Chris led her down to a beautiful candlelit path on the beach where dinner was set up just for the two of them right by the ocean. Chris then popped the question and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes! It turns out that Chris had purposefully waited until the end of the trip to throw Meghan off.
