Fall Red River Gorge Engagement Session at Natural Bridge State Park

We had the privilege of taking Melissa and Chad to the Red River Gorge for the very first time. After seeing photos of several of our sessions out there, they knew that they wanted to do their engagement session out there. Melissa and Chad both love hiking and we couldn’t think of a better place to go. We decided to do their engagement session at Natural Bridge State Park in Slade, Kentucky. Natural Bridge is one of the most beautiful and largest arches in the state of Kentucky. The view from the top is spectacular and allows you to see for miles. The beautiful fall colors and golden sunset made for the most romantic engagement session. To our surprise, there was actually a film crew at Natural Bridge filming a movie called Riley’s Ridge starring Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight. Maybe we will show up in the movie.

Melissa and Chad met through a mutual friend. On their first date, they went out to dinner and ended up talking for hours. Chad prepared the most amazing proposal for Melissa. He planned a vacation which involved all of Melissa’s favorite things. They went to a Green Bay Packer’s game, swam with manatees, and even went to Universal Studios to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. After swimming with the manatees Chad took Melissa to a nearby beautiful gazebo. He went down on one knee and asked Melissa to marry him. As soon as he did a school of dolphins jumped out of the water behind him. What could be more magical and romantic than that! Chad had Melissa’s engagement ring designed by a jeweler on Etsy. It is a gorgeous gold ring shaped into a twig representing their love for the outdoors.

Melissa and Chad we had so much fun hiking and exploring the Red River Gorge with you. You all are so genuine and easy to talk to. I feel like we are best friends already. We are so excited about your wedding coming up this spring at the Griffin Gate Marriot in Lexington, Kentucky.
