We were beyond excited when Neal & Samantha told us they wanted to do a bride and groom portrait session in the Red River Gorge on Auxier Ridge in Kentucky. The ridge line of Auxier Ridge is etched into Neal’s wedding band because this is a very special place for them. This hiking trail is one of our personal favorites as well when you do it as a loop with Double Arch. The Red River Gorge is an absolutely magical place and is a must visit for anyone who has never been. Neal and Samantha currently live in Kentucky but had their wedding down in Tupelo, Mississippi back in June.We had the privilege of photographing their wedding at an elegant and rustic venue called the Antler. The payoff for hiking two miles to Auxier Ridge with all of our photography gear was well worth the pain. We were given an absolutely beautiful evening with stunning light. Equally as amazing was the bespoke garden style bouquet that Jessica Jones of Blooms ‘n Blossoms designed for our lovely couple. She loaded the bouquet with garden roses, dahlia, astilbe, privet berry, and an assortment of foliage. When were first laid eyes on the bouquet and boutonniere, it took our breath away. We are so excited to share with you all some of our favorite photos from the session. If you are thinking about putting your wedding dress back on for some amazing photos, go for it.
