HOW IS IT DECEMBER ALREADY?! I can’t believe that not only will I be turning the dreadful 22 (no more fun birthdays to look forward to) but I will also be ending my internship here at Simply Love Studio. These past few months have flew by! However, this past semester has been one of the best. All thanks to Sarah!
I feel like it was just yesterday that Sarah was interviewing me on a hot July day. I am so thankful that she gave me this wonderful opportunity and allowed me to tag along her many adventures. She has taught me so much about the wedding world and networking.
From the Christmas party to stuffing swag bags, every day was a new opportunity to expand my horizons. The one big thing I will take away from this internship is realizing there is always more to learn! (Especially in the wedding world)
I do have to take some time to brag about all of the delicious food I was able to try this semester! From Type A Catering to Tinker’s Cake Shop, my taste buds were spoiled! I have to say the one that “takes the cake” is Sarah and I went to lunch at the Hilton after decorating the window downtown at the Hilton, we stopped in at The Triangle Grille for lunch. The friendly staff and wonderful food made me go back with my girlfriends the next week! Sarah and I both had the southern fried chicken salad. I guess it really is true that Kentucky has the best fried chicken!
As for my favorite memories this semester, Vacation Bridal School still wins it all. I was able to learn so much from all of our different vendors and loved meeting all the couples. I loved the interaction that the couples were able to have with each vendor. In my opinion, it is so beneficial for couples to attend. It makes the big and little details of a wedding much easier.
As for what I am doing next, I am finishing up my senior year at UK then hope to find a job in the wedding world! Interning for Simply Love Studio has made me fall even more in love with weddings!
