This week Sarah and I went to an event called Tuesdays Together. It was sponsored by a nationwide organization called Rising Tide Society. We handcrafted crepe paper flowers to make one big bouqet.
The big bouqet is going to patients at the Ronald McDonald House. We learned that some immunosuppressed patients cannot receive live flowers or plants due to infection risk.
This was led by the amazing Meredith Eastburn of Amaranthus Paper & Flora. For each three stem or more bouquet sold through the Amaranthus Paper & Flora Etsy shop, website or direct sales a bouquet is donated to a family at the Ronald McDonald house.
Although I am not the most artistic person in the world…. Meredith was so helpful throughout the tedious process! She was encouraging when some of our flowers started to look like they’ve seen winter already. The pastries fro Martines were delicious too!
We had so much fun crafting for such an amazing cause! I loved the beautiful space we got to craft in as well. The Apiary is a new venue in Lexington and I was excited to see it.
