Week 2 of Vacation Bridal School was a success!
This week we had six different vendors help our couples get closer to their big day!
The Hilton provided some of our dinner this week. They provided a variety of fresh fruit and salads with different dips such as beer cheese, hummus, and multiple dressings. Wedding specialists from the Hilton Lexington | Downtown, Summer and Alex, were our first vendors to speak. They talked about what exactly to look for in a contract when booking a venue. They answered all questions about their venue and addressed “what not to do” when signing a contract.
Hanna from Hanna Salonen Photography shared with our couples all about engagement photos. She addressed why they are important and even shared some of her favorite memories of couples she has worked with. She gave her expert opinion on what to wear during engagement sessions. Hanna is a very creative photographer with a lot of unique ideas! A lot of our couples were happy to have her input.
Bekah Stivers from Simply Done Invites was up next! Bekah shared with couples how important invitations are and how they set the tone of your wedding. Simply Done Invites is currently our only invitation company so our brides had tons of questions. Simply Done Invites are all created from scratch and as Bekah says she is a paper fanatic so she is in the right business!
Another “fun fact” about Simply Done Invites is that a portion of each sale is donated to Mission Caribe, a non-profit in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This mission is dedicated to helping those in need. Not only could you be creating a save the date but also helping to save a life!
Stivers Strength & Wellness educated our couples on how to stay healthy during planning during the planning process. Nathan Stivers gave us 10 simple ways to rid body fat. He explained to couples how different workouts and meal plans work for different people.

Dr. Lucy Lee Wachs from Clear Choice Orthodontics talked about how to work towards the “perfect smile”. She showed us specific examples of how Invisalign has helped many brides before the big day. The best part about Invisalign is how quickly it can fix major or minor issues.
Our last vendor was Geno’s Formal Affair. Gino himself came to speak along with two store managers, Carrie & Jennifer. He brought two different tuxes to show couples what to look for. He explained the quality of his product and the reliability of his business. Many couples had questions for Gino, being in the business for 40 + years, he knew the answer along with some kind of funny story! Our couples received Geno’s Formal Affair “goodie” bags as they were leaving.
I can hardly wait for next week! I know we have some exciting vendors coming up!
