What is Bridal Benchmark you ask? It’s kind of like Vacation Bible School, but for Brides!! We have snacks, drinks, education and crafts, for free!! It’s all about education, we’re not selling you anything. We want you to have the best wedding day possible and to make that happen we’ll be throwing in a lot of door prizes!! Our first night is January 14th. It happens at our Studio, 2392 Woodhill Drive, right beside Purdon’s Rental & Sales. It’s from 6 – 8 pm. Completely free for Brides and it’s a one time $5 fee for guests! Here is our agenda for Night 1:
You’ve got the ring……………….. Now it’s time for the DRESS!!
Wedding Wonderland will open up Bridal Benchmark talking about everything wedding dress related. With almost 20 years of experience, Pam, owner of Wedding Wonderland will share the styles for 2015, explain the difference in all of the dresses, what’s most flattering for body types, what to expect when you go into shop, who you should take with you, how long you should plan for, etc.
Type A Catering will provide you with some delicious appetizers and drinks at the start of the evening and then share with you the basics on budgeting for the big day. She’ll also talk about wedding day catering, the difference between plated and buffet, appetizers vs a meal and all about that bar!
Hilton Lexington | Downtown has been a preferred vendor of the Studio for several years. Their Director of Catering & Sales, Summer Cooper will share with you what to look for in a venue, how to find the perfect venue, how to schedule a site visit, questions to ask during the site visit, etc.
Clear Pro DJ is all ’bout that bass, ’bout that bass, sorry I couldn’t help myself. Randy, owner of Clear Pro DJ will share with you the differences between an ipod reception and a dj style reception, touch on the contract, how long dj’s normally play for, all of that fun stuff.
Wes Brown Photography – because photography, duh! You want the best of the best at the right price and we’re going to help you find the perfect one. Wes will open our photography topics up with what to look for in a photographer, what you need in a contract, how long you should have a photographer for on your wedding day, etc.
So. Um. Where ya going to live once you get married? Do you each have a house already? Do you need to buy a house? How the heck do you do that? That’s what Nick Ratliff is going to share with us!
The last vendor for the first night is Nathan Stivers, owner of Stivers Strength & Wellness. We know you want to be in the best shape of your life when you put on that pretty gown and Nathan is going to help you do that!
