So I love Pinterest. We recently returned from a trip to Florida to see my in-laws. And while we were away, as to not feel disconnected from the world at home, we only took 1 laptop, 1 ipad, 1 kindle fire, and 2 smart phones.  The laptop was my husband’s.  Really it isn’t a laptop, it is a mobile workstation –  the thing ways easily ten pounds.  It is his work computer, so I don’t spend a lot of time on it. And I definitely won’t be spending time on Pinterest because somehow he has made it so that the pictures won’t load. I asked him about it, and all I got was this innocent smirk. I think he has don’t something to it. But oh well, I’m home and I have been getting my fix.
The thing I love about Pinterest in the inspiration it provides. From something as simple as what we are going to have for dinner . . .
Â
Maple Dijon Chicken from www.wittyinthecity.com. Can you say hello Trader Joe’s and their antibiotic-free, boneless, skinless chicken thighs!
But I digress. One of the things that recently caught my eye was this bourbon bar.
Now mind you, we don’t exactly have a lot of sand and ocean here in Central Kentucky, but we do have a lot of bourbon.  And people that like to drink bourbon.  And out-of-state guests who are interested in tasting bourbon. But were it not for Pinterest, I would have never seen this photo which is from www.gardenandgun.com, not exactly my normal reading material.
Or this photo from www.socoevents.blogspot.comÂ
Or this one from www.marthastewartweddings.com. We’re ignoring that this is whiskey, not bourbon. You get the idea.Â
So perhaps instead of a signature drink or two, or a serving a full bar, a bourbon bar might be the thing for you and your guests. Something to keep in mind.Â
Have a great day and Bon Appetit,
Diane
