We have some exciting news…Lauren Chitwood Events announces it’s floral and event design boutique, Love & Camellia!!

The entire team at Lauren Chitwood Events feels so blessed for the growth and success of our floral and event design business! To accommodate our many weddings and events, we need some help! We are looking for a part-time floral design assistant to help our lead floral designer Samantha. The work days are usually Wednesday to Saturday, and the hours are slightly sporadic depending upon to the season. Floral design experience would be helpful, as you have to be a quick mover! Weekends are a must around here, but you are guaranteed to have a great time! We would love to hear from you if you are interested! Last week I had the opportunity to meet with Tracie at Tinker’s. It was a great experience. When I went in the shop for the first time, I was absolutely blown away by the beautiful display of cakes. As soon as Tracie began talking and telling me about her business, I knew instantly that she and her husband, Cameron truly had a passion for creating beautiful wedding cakes that taste as good as they look, and let me assure you, they taste amazing! All of Tinker’s cakes are made from scratch. Tinker’s has won numerous awards for their cakes since they opened in 2005. They offer a wide variety of flavors including: Vanilla Bean, Award-Winning White Chocolate Raspberry, Strawberries and Cream, Award-Winning Dark Chocolate Champagne, Marbled Chocolate, Tiramisu, Red Velvet, Lemon with Raspberry, and Italian Cream. Let me just say that I….Loved….This….Wedding! Not to say that I don’t love all the weddings we work, but Danielle and Josh’s wedding had a little extra kick. I can’t even go into all the amazing details that they put into this wedding.  The ceremony and reception both took place at Keeneland. There is nothing more exciting for a photographer, than tons of beautiful and unique details at a wedding. Danielle loves everything vintage and with a seemingly European flare. This was apparent in everything from her wedding dress, to the bridesmaid hats, to the driftwood, to the centerpieces. It was all so beautiful! Thanks to Leann of Wedding Bliss, and her staff, did a fantastic job of making all the beautiful details come together.  And to top it off, the bride and groom and the entire wedding party had the most amazing attitudes. As a photographer, we love it when people will do crazy and fun stuff for us, even if that means there might be a little dirt and grime in the process. The entire wedding party raced down the track at Keeneland all for this photographer’s enjoyment. Thank you all for such a fantastic experience, and congratulations, Josh & Danielle! Your love for one another was obvious in every moment of the day.

Staying with the garden theme of the ceremony, Tera and Shawn’s reception in the ballroom at the Calumet Club was decorated with adorable carved wooden birds and beautiful natural accents. I loved it!! And check out this simple, yet stunning cake, along with the other goodies, made by Adrienne and Co. Gorgeous as always! Enjoy a handful of our favorite images!
