Creamy white lanterns adorned with purple ribbons lined the walkway to the garden where Julie and Pete were married. The sun setting behind them made a gorgeous setting even better as they said their vows. Have I mentioned how much I adore outdoor weddings?! Julie and Pete’s was no exception. I am so excited to blog about this beautiful wedding!! The first time I met with Jamie I knew that I just had to help her with her wedding!  When she was describing the southern grace and Kentucky charm she wanted to portray to all of her guests, especially those from California.  After chatting with her I found out that she was busy living in LA and working on the movie Avatar – yes THE HUGE blockbuster movie!  EEK!!  So exciting and from then on I referred to her as Jamie my Avatar bride, lol!!

OK so here are the amazing details you have been waiting for!

This next photo is one of my all time favorites!  Something about men all dressed up and hanging out together…. not sure but I love it!!

The fabulously gorgeous Headley-Whitney Museum was chosen as their venue and DaRae and Friends as their caterer.  The food was to die for and I have found that I love shrimp and grits!  YUM!  Purdon’s Rentals provided us with a beautiful tent and all tables, chairs and linens while the guys at Bluegrass Beat did a wonderful job with uplighting and DJ.  All of the stunning flowers were provided by the uber talented Crist Creona!

WOW. What an absolutely fantastic wedding! We had the extreme pleasure of photographing Julie and Pete’s big day at one of the most gorgeous homes I’ve ever seen: Welcome Hall in Versailles, Kentucky. But let’s start at the beginning: We met up with Julie and the girls at a hotel in Lexington in the morning where the fabulous Ana Crane-Simpson was working her magic with hair and make-up. Once all the girls were all dolled up, we headed out to Welcome Hall to start the day with some stunning portraits around the property.

We were thrilled to be able to work with Rayna and the amazing Always Planned team, and we were LOVING these gorgeous bouquets from Jeanie Gorrell Designs. Enjoy a few favorites from the start of a perfect day… :)

After a beautiful outdoor ceremony, JoBeth and Jeremie joined all their guests in the conference center for dinner and dancing. I love how the natural theme of the wedding carried through into the details of the reception. And, check out what drink the couple had to toast with… these two are my kind of bride and groom :) Who needs champagne? Especially when you can have something that tastes MUCH better!

Congratulations, JoBeth ad Jeremie! Your wedding was gorgeous, and it looks like everyone had a blast celebrating with you! We wish you all the best and a lifetime full of happiness together :)
