OK, I can seriously tell you that I love to be around woman who inspire me.  The attendees at Eventology honestly rock the free world and the unbelievable amount of determination, dedication, integrity and sheer girl power at this event is overwhelming, but in the best of ways.  I love it!

Here are a few photos to show the relationships formed as well as the beautiful ladies (and one guy) that inspired me.  Enjoy!

Wedding Shoes!

Posted by: Always Planned

What girl doesn’t love shoes?

And even if you don’t, we’ve got some options for you too! I am loving that many brides are using their shoes as a way to have a peak of color. Whether in coordinating wedding colors, or as their something blue, it adds some fun to the traditional wedding attire.

If your not a heels kind of girl, then there is no reason to suffer on the biggest party of your life.

Flats and kitten heals are great for heel-haters. Have you seen Father of the Bride?? She wore bridal tennis shoes! As long as its “you”, it will work! And depending on the feel and location of your wedding, other alternatives make more sense.

Beach weddings don’t have to mean white rubber flip flops, there are some fabulous sandals out there. Wedges are perfect for outdoor weddings, where stilettos sink into the grass like quicksand.  All of these fabulous options are from piperlime.com. The blue flats are from nordstroms.com.

Whitney + Geoff | married!! {part two}

Whitney and Geoff were married at the beautiful Highland Baptist Church. This place is just gorgeous inside and out!! I love all the stone, woodwork, and stained glass windows. After the ceremony, we all headed over to the Seelbach for bridal party portraits and then one of the most fantastic receptions we have seen… but more on that later. Here are a few ceremony favorites:

Enjoy!!

Whitney + Geoff | married!! {part one}

Posted by: Deanna Kaye Photography

Really, I cannot believe it has taken me so long to post such a fantastic wedding!! Things have been so crazy around here that I can hardly see straight… but anyway, Whitney and Geoff had a truly amazing event, and we loved every minute of it! We started the morning with Whitney and all the ladies at the eclectic and super fun Lynn’s Paradise Cafe (if you’ve never been, you MUST check it out! It’s such an awesome experience!) Then it was on to the salon for lots of primping and prepping before heading to the church. While the girls were staying warm inside, the guys were out braving the FREEZING COLD downtown for some incredible photos by Eric and Kari. I had no problem just staying to hang out with the girls that day :)

The day was so full and the wedding so fabulous that I cannot possibly fit everything into one post! So, here are a few favorites from the first part of the day… Enjoy!

So… Some guy walked into the salon and was trying to sell knock-off boots and purses…. Apparently that happens a lot on Bardstown Road.

I never have understood the theory behind this part of having your hair done:

I love the cute bags that Whitney and all her girls had!

…and the jackets… :)

Whitney’s STUNNING dress from none other than the Couture Closet:

And simply gorgeous flowers by In Bloom Again!!

Ok, seriously… are these not the cutest shoes?? I LOVE them!!!

Eventology

Owning and operating an event planning & design company, or any small business for that matter, takes a commitment to continually learning. I feel so lucky to have spent the first half of my week in Indianapolis at Eventology, which is a wonderful intimate conference for event professionals. With less than 100 attendees and fabulous speakers, as leaders in the wedding and event industry we were able to share so much and learn from each other. There are some very immediate changes that I will be making to Lauren Chitwood Events, and some things that I will continue to ponder, but I can’t share enough about how positive this experience was.

As with any conference there are some fun moments that go along with the experience. The very awesome guys at Epic Motion tagged along to document in video some of the highlights of the conference.  So check out these short fun reels of day one and two!
